SHAC offers innovative financing options to enable income-qualified buyers to purchase a home.
Down payment / Closing Cost Assistance: SHAC works with community partners to offer various forms of down payment/closing cost assistance.
Currently SHAC partners with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Seattle to offer a forgiveable subsidy of up to $15,000 to qualified buyers. If the buyer resides in the home for 5 years, the subsidy becomes a grant and does not need to be repaid. Contact SHAC for details.
Individual Development Accounts (IDA): DOUBLE YOUR SAVINGS! Your monthly savings are matched by contributions from community donors. These savings then go toward down payment/closing costs. Clients wishing to start an IDA account must enroll in the homebuyer club.
